I have been sending my "A Personal Note from Laura" newsletter for over 10 years now and I have gone from 0 reactions (well, that's not entirely true... I did get an unsubscribe) to dozens of emails back for each and every newsletter I send.

It did not happen overnight. Let me repeat that... it did NOT happen overnight! 

It took me years of experimenting, testing different email formats, adopting different tones of voice, and tackling different topics.

It took years of small successes ("Wow! Michael from Maryland just wrote me back!") and epic fails ("no one has replied to my last 5 newsletters...I am a total failure") and periods of writer's block, wounded pride, and no newsletters in my outbox.
