As a second-generation Sicilian-American, he has spent more than 20 years building genuine friendships with the farmers, winemakers, and home cooks who make Italian food what it is.

Tuscany in October with people who love it as much as you do
Drenda Howatt has been guiding travelers to meaningful places since a nine-week solo adventure through Europe changed how she understood the world. Becky brings a retired teacher's gift for knowledge and an unshakeable passion for great food and wine.
Together they have designed a Tuscany journey built around October, when the region is at its most generous: truffle season, harvest celebrations, warm afternoons, and the particular Tuscan light that photographers chase all year.
Their groups stay in restored historic villas, cook with producers who grow their own ingredients, and move at a pace that allows room for the unexpected. The connections made around the dinner table tend to outlast the trip itself.
Guides were excellent overall. The Parmigiano and Prosciutto visits were really great, as was the balsamico. The cooking class was great. The Manaresi visit was really good. More small production wineries like that one would be very attractive. Our case from them arrived the next week. They overnighted it to us for absurdly cheap shipping cost.

Originally from Latvia, Helen arrived in Sicily and never left. She holds a WSET certification and works across wine writing, wine brokerage, and tour guiding. Since 2021, she has been building Bespoke Wine Tours Sicily around one clear idea: the most interesting bottles on the island come from small producers who rarely appear in international press.
Getting to them takes someone with real local knowledge and years of genuine relationships. Helen does not take clients to famous wineries. She takes them to the ones worth knowing about. The kind that remember your name when you write to order more the following month.
